We are the Georgia Alpha chapter of SigEp, located at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. Our fraternity was founded over 100 years ago with the goal of "Building Balanced Men". With more than 14,000 undergraduates, SigEp has grown to be the largest national fraternity. After residing on Georgia Tech's campus for over 100 years, we are excited and confident that this will be another year where we further our traditions while expanding our horizons. Today, we continue that tradition as campus leaders in academics, athletics, and extracurriculars.
On August 15, 2015 Sigma Phi Epsilon awarded 5 men with the Fraternity.s highest honor, The Order of the Golden Heart. The Order of the Golden Heart recognizes those few who have made a significant impact on our beloved Brotherhood through a lifetime of service. Only 160 of the more than 315,000 all-time brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon have earned this level of distinction. Mr. Richard Kelley Rodgers is one of the 5 most recent honorees and is dear to the Georgia Alpha Chapter.
Mr. Rodgers has been the Chapter Counselor for GA Alpha for nearly 30 years. During this time he has made an incalculable impact on our Chapter and profoundly touched the lives of so many individual brothers.
Mr. Rodgers was honored at the Grand Chapter Conclave in Nashville by the National Fraternity and we would like to express our own personal heartfelt gratitude to him as well. The Alumni Volunteer Corporation Board of Directors and the Undergraduate Chapter of GA Alpha are planning a reception in Mr. Rodgers honor. The reception will take place on October 23, 2015, the Friday preceding Georgia Tech's homecoming, at 7pm EST. The event will take place at or around Georgia Tech. More details will be forthcoming as the date draws closer.
For now we would like to invite all GA Alpha Alumni and guests as well as all SigEps and their guests to attend the reception. Please follow the link below and fill out the RSVP form.
We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
